( 3.1 / 40 )Well, I didn't get 2000 words written last night. I upgraded my OS in the morning in the hope that it would be ready in the evening. Some chance! Between fixing little errors and upgrading openoffice, I didn't get to bed 'till 3AM.
Oh well, the computer is now pleasingly snappy and responsive, and I've been writing all day. I've just cracked my 2000 word limit for today, and I'm going to keep going as long as I can without drifting. My overall goal is to do the 2000 words I didn't get to do last night as well, and to hit the 15,000 word mark this weekend.
Dark's found his voice, which is pleasing.

( 3 / 42 )My little ubuntu laptop now has a princely two gigabytes of RAM. If you'd told me ten years ago that I'd posess a computer with more than two gigabytes of Hard-drive space, I'd have had a hard time believing you. But gigs of RAM? That's crazy talk. I'd probably have burned you as a witch.
But now it has two gigabytes of RAM and it's like a new laptop. Woo! Great! Bully for me!
But now I've spent quite a bit of money, and I don't have anything to do for the rest of the month, so I've come to a decision.
Tonight, I am going to write two thousand words of Coldtouch and Dark.
Tomorrow, I am going to write another two-thousand. On Sunday I will write four-thousand.
My weekends are going to work like this until I get the thing finished and sent off to publishers.
Then I will be rich and famous and possess yachts, plural.
A flotilla of them, all made of gold. Well, maybe more of a sinktilla.
These are true things that will happen.

( 3.1 / 29 )I've been neglecting this blog this week. Oh well, I suppose I'd better try and get sorted out for next week.
In other news, well done Obama! Americans: It took you eight years, two elections and billions of dollars of election money but you're finally got it right!

( 2.9 / 43 )looks like nobody reads this, but what the hell.
Anyway, two thousand words written last night. Some of it's middling, but some of it I'm very pleased with indeed.

( 2.9 / 39 )Well, yesterday's entries may have been a little confusing to anybody who happened to read them (Does anybody read this thing? I don't even know.)
When I said I had lots of thoughts about funerals, I meant a specific set of funereal rites for one of my fantasy races.
Not my own.
Just so we're clear.
Does anybody actually read this thing apart from me? I started it as my own personal journal, but apparently it's been viewed nearly 300 times. Maybe it's just web crawlers.
Well, who's reading this?
Add comments to the bottom of this entry!

( 2.8 / 60 )By 'eck I'm sleepy. Maybe not writing tonight. Don't know.
One thing that might be interesting though: I had a lot of ideas about funerals this morning. So that's all right then.
