( 3.1 / 287 )Writing like fury, on holiday. Limited access to Internet. Having a wonderful time.
May need my scene-checking homeys to look over a difficult-paced transfer scene.
Peace

( 2.8 / 212 )I'm wondering if I'm doing enough with this website, I might upgrade it to a drupal-based dealy, or maybe even the dreaded WordPress.

( 3.1 / 93 )Heh. Started rocking on unified final draft. Awesome.
thanks to Tom R for giving some great feedback on first part of first chapter, and for a really gruesome way of showing the dangers of power misuse. Heh heh heh.
Cheers

( 3.2 / 66 )The crime is solved, the trap is sprung, but this isn't a world where criminals just say "It's a fair cop guv."
So now I'm plotting the climax. It's a lot like the normal climax but with 100% more LOGIC and 67% less IDIOCY.
I hope.

( 2.9 / 58 )Hello childrens.
I've been neglecting this blog, mostly because I haven't been writing anywhere near enough.
I'm currently still getting the final structure right, but it's coming along apace.
I want to be writing real words more than anything, but I know now that trying to do that without a 100% rock solid structure means that the draft aborts somewhere around 50,000 words. So I'm going to knuckles down and keep at it, and hopefully be finished with it by next Monday, and ready to start the final draft.
Well, I say final; after it's done, I'm going to be sending it out to a few people who I trust to cut it to pieces, and following that, I'm sure there will be more work to do.
Ho-him.
It's coming along.
I've also recently found out my brother reads this blog, and regards ownership of a personal website as 'walking the fine edge of twattery.'
But then, he regards ownership of personal deodorant as twattery, so screw him! Stupid, stinky brother.

( 2.9 / 63 )Ah, the snow, the snow, the snow. It keeps coming down like the bastard it is and refuses to go away, instead preferring to turn into clear hard black ice on the doorstep when a fella's just popping out for a smoke.
Ho hum.

( 3 / 64 )Ah well, it's that time of the month again; three days before payday, and the machine no longer likes my card. Ho-hum.
Friday is payday, and more to the point, it will be a slightly richer payday than normal, pay-rise last night and bonus tonight. W00t! And then of course, ym vastly reduced rent at Plymouth Road taken into account, and the bond that is (allegedly) going to be returned to me from Duke Street, and January should be a pleasingly replete month.
For tonight, however, I'm going to take advantage of my nicely expanded floor space, get out all my little index cards and get the novel planning back on track. I'm now at fifty-thousand words and have not yet introduced the villain. this should not be.
Ho-hum. Sing ho for the life of a bear.
